Set inside the walls of the old Riad Ouaraizi, very little of the past has been carried through into its new incarnation as the Les Jardins de la Koutoubia. It is ultra modern Morocco luxury that oozes through this hotel in the old medina. With 108 rooms and suites you do have to give up some of the individuality that accompanies the smaller style riads, but The Luxury Travel Bible has decided that what you gain in five star indulgence is fair compensation. 
The Spa by Carita is an exquisite encounter set inside a cocoon of arches and floaty curtains with a dark-bottom pool that is dream inducing. The restaurants and the piano bar, are great lures for locals as well as travellers staying in other riads.
